The essence of leadership is followership. In other words, it is the willingness of other people to follow that makes a person a leader. Moreover, people tend to follow those whom they see as providing a means of achieving their own desires, wants and needs.
Emotional Intelligence is recognised as a key driver in successful performance. EQ is not permanently fixed by age, gender or ethnic background and unlike IQ it can easily be improved upon. Not getting the results you want from yourself and others? Is it time to change your performance?
